When Anthony Williams called an automated phone line to get his unemployment benefits in December, the robotic voice on the other side skipped part of a question.
Williams, 64, said he assumed the system would ask the question again, but it didn t, and instead he got a message that has frustrated thousands of people left without work during the coronavirus pandemic: He had to speak to a representative.
Getting someone on the phone took nearly a month, and six weeks later, Williams still hasn t seen his money. I am so aggravated and frustrated, the Neptune man said. Not because I don t have the money, but because you can t get anyone who seemingly cares at all.
Legislators call for more vaccination sites in Southeast Massachusetts

BOSTON – Chair of the Southeastern Massachusetts Legislative Caucus Sen. Marc R. Pacheco, D-Taunton, has announced that 26 legislators have called for more vaccination sites in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The following legislators have signed onto a letter calling for the sites: Senators Michael D. Brady, Mark C. Montigny, Susan L. Moran, Rebecca L. Rausch, and Walter F. Timilty, and Representatives Antonio F. D. Cabral, Claire D. Cronin, Josh S. Cutler, David F. DeCoste, Angelo L. D Emilia, Carol A. Doherty, Carole A. Fiola, Susan Williams Gifford, Patricia A. Haddad, Christopher Hendricks, Steven S. Howitt, Kathleen R. LaNatra, Norman J. Orrall, Adam J. Scanlon, Paul A. Schmid, III, Alan Silvia, William M. Straus, Alyson M. Sullivan, Timothy R. Whelan, and Steven G. Xiarhos.
The Massachusetts state legislature has increased its offshore wind target to 5600MW for the state.
An Act Creating a Next-Generation Roadmap for Massachusetts Climate Policy authorises an additional 2400MW of offshore wind procurement.
It also raises the State s Renewable Portfolio target to 40% by 2030.
The legislation will now go to state Governor Charlie Baker
