The high school state championship tournament was the last big event at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
This is the second time Wood will be recognized by an organization under the umbrella of the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA). In 2010, he was inducted into the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Wood says it was a thrill, as a coach and an official, to be able to put his time in and help student athletes throughout the state.
