Anti-vaxxers protest outside ESSA Academy in Bolton

Anti-vaxxers target schoolchildren during protest ANTI-VAXXERS gathered outside a school and vaccination centre in Bolton today to protest as pupils were queuing for coronavirus tests. A group of around 10 protestors gathered on the street outside ESSA Academy in Great Lever this morning - where they shouted at students and handed them leaflets with anti-vaxxer sentiments. The school’s headteacher, Martin Knowles, said that the protestors were there for about an hour on the road outside the school, with placards and a loudspeaker - but left as soon as the rain started. He said: “They were handing out leaflets to our pupils, and they were handing them straight back to us as they came in the gates.

The 'slum' road in Bolton causing dust and dirt pollution

RESIDENTS have spoken out about the conditions of a road in Blackrod after they continually have to clear dust, gravel and debris from paths outside their homes. Pollution has become a concern for homeowners on Station Road, with one resident describing the area as a “slum”. People have reported heavy-goods vehicles regularly using the highway, leading to debris gathering along paths, driveways and front gardens. Street sweepers have been deployed in the area but the rubbish keeps returning. Eileen Jackson has noticed the problem becoming steadily worse. The pensioner suffers from COPD and feels the pollution caused by the dust is aggravating her condition.
