Wisconsin DNR launches new clean drinking water campaign
July 28, 2021 8:06 PM
MADISON, Wis. The Wisconsin DNR is launching a new campaign about the importance of drinking water in Wisconsin, calling it the “Safe Water for All” campaign.
August is National Water Quality Month, so the DNR is working ahead to keep water safe both now and in the future.
They held a panel Wednesday morning on the topic. State officials say they are working to address water contamination from PFAS, nitrates and lead.
“Our responsibility is to work with industry to make sure that people are accountable,” said Preston Cole of the DNR. “Our responsibility is to work with industry, cities, towns and villages so they too can live their dreams out with clean water.”
