Commissioner Gujranwala Division Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghuman said on the Thursday that under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, the Regional Economic Growth Strategy Gujranwala Division will be a game changer and the development projects worth billions of rupees will prove a milestone in the country’s economic and industrial revival.
The government has approved establishment of an expo center at Gujranwala, new industrial estate in Gujrat as well as hundreds of new projects for the infrastructural development besides establishment of new universities and other public welfare projects.
Govt is Allocating Rs. 2.1 Trillion for Development Programs in Budget 2021-22: Asad Umar
The Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, announced that the National Economic Council (NEC) has approved the allocation of Rs. 2.10 trillion for the country’s development program.
This included Rs. 87 billion for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for 2021-22 against Rs. 1,527 billion for 2020-21, with an increase of 36.4 percent.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday unveiled the plaque to launch work on two-lane Lodhran-Multan road, a 62-kilometer north-bound section of N-5 that will connect three districts, including Bahawalpur.
The project will complete in two years costing around Rs 6.8 billion. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, Special Assistant Malik Amir Dogar and parliamentarians from South Punjab attended the event.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday paid a surprise visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Covid-19 ward and interacted with the staff and patients.
Following the standard operating procedures (SOPs), the prime minister visited the hospital and was briefed by doctors about the virus, number of patients and their condition and availability of related facilities for them.
Imran reemphasized strict adherence to the corona SOPs for complete prevention. Imran Khan will speak again directly to the people over the phone Tuesday (today) at 1:30PM and answer questions. PTI Senator Faisal Javed said, âPrime Minister Imran Khan will once again speak to you directly on the phone.â
