NORRISTOWN — When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office sprang into action starting last spring at COVID testing sites and into this spring at vaccination sites. Now, after a month-and-a-half of helping residents safeguard themselves against the COVID-19 pandemic, Montgomery County’s free vaccination sites are closing down. Since April 12, virtually all of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s 100+ deputies served more than 6,000 man hours securing vaccination sites and assisting community members in Willow Grove, Montgomeryville, Pottstown, Norristown, Blue Bell and Lansdale. - Advertisement - In all, these sites vaccinated more than 43,000 county residents.
