Oak Grove s Maxine Zobrist is turning 100 in style on Sunday, Dec. 20 as neighbors and friends are encouraged to help her safely celebrate by driving or walking by her house and wishing her a happy birthday from afar.

Born at home on Dec. 20, 1920 in Seattle, Zobrist was the fourth of five children of Carl Sixtus and Effie Edna Atlanta Sandstrom Johnson. Zorbist graduated from Seattle s Roosevelt High School in 1939.
