River District Association launches Downtown Art and Sculpture Tour

DANVILLE, Va. — River District Association (RDA) today announced the addition of a Downtown Danville Arts and Sculpture Tour in the River District App: Distrx. This tour, through walking, photos and recorded audio, leads participants through the River District to view and learn about sculptures, murals and other art projects in Downtown Danville.  “We are so excited to offer this tour,” said Communications and Events Manager Kirsten Aherron. “It a great way to enjoy the River District. The tour is self-guided, so participants can go at their own pace and stop part way through for lunch, coffee, or shopping, before resuming again.” 

Danville s River District to launch mobile app in March

The River Districts Association recently announced the River District Downtown App, Distrx. Distrx will be launched and ready for download in early March. Distrx is a mobile app that is part of a nationwide network of Main Street districts and will provide both visitors and residents of the Danville area with a directory of downtown businesses, parking information, walking tours, a calendar of downtown events and updated COVID-19 protocols.  The Distrix app allows local businesses to keep contact information, business hours, websites, promotions and coupons they offer updated in real time. All businesses that participate will also be included in the Distrix search engine optimized website at distrx.com/districts/1457-danville-river-district-danville.

Boulder JCC presents Amplifying Voices: A Racial Justice Series

“ Amplifying Voices” is a series of programs on the topic of race designed to bring together ideas of teshuva (recommitting to ways we can do better), personal growth, and reckoning.
