As Martin tries to reassure his son, Max, that “things will be back to normal soon”, the new reformist government struggles to keep up with events and Martin’s handler Fritz (Niels Bormann) suggests he poisons the freshly installed head of state, Egon Krenz, if Krenz proves too liberal. On the plus side, there’s a potential love interest in the shape of Max’s new teacher, while elsewhere Fritz infiltrates a group of socialists.
