COVID-19 cases declined last week, but hospitalizations and deaths increased, the Oregon Health Authority’s weekly COVID-19 report shows.
OHA reported 4,108 new cases of COVID-19 between May 10 and May 16. That’s a 16% decrease from the previous week and the third consecutive week that cases have fallen.
New COVID-19 related hospitalizations also rose to 265, up from 245 last week.
COVID-19 related deaths rose from 31 to 57, the highest weekly death toll in 10 weeks.
