Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix latest event cancelled due to COVID

Formula One’s Singapore Grand Prix has been called off this year due to coronavirus restrictions, local organiser Singapore GP Pte Ltd have confirmed.

“To cancel the event for a second year is an incredibly difficult decision, but a necessary one in light of the prevailing restrictions for live events in Singapore,” said Colin Syn, deputy chairperson of Singapore GP Pte Ltd.
The annual Shangri-La Dialogue and World Economic Forum set to be held in Singapore this year have also been cancelled as the city-state is taking all possible precautions to stem a resurgence in COVID cases.
Formula 1 and race organisers on Friday confirmed that this year Singapore Grand Prix will not take place due to ongoing safety and logistic concerns brought
