Director, Internal Audit and Compliance, Nicole Guerrero | Texas Health and Human Services

Nicole Guerrero oversees the Texas Health and Human Services system’s Office of Audit and Compliance. Before taking on the role, Guerrero served as the division’s chief deputy director. She was also the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s Internal Audit director before transformation merged five agencies into two. Before joining HHS in 2014, Guerrero worked as an audit manager for the Texas State Auditor’s Office. She has 26 years of audit experience, including 23 years in audit management. Guerrero has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Xavier University in New Orleans and a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University in San Marcos. She is also a Certified Internal Auditor.
