Seven people sent to prison this year for crimes in Wiltshire - Pictures from Wiltshire Police FROM robbery to running a cannabis farm, several people across Wiltshire have already faced justice this year, having been jailed for their roles in criminal activity across the county. Here are six cases published by Wiltshire Police, which resulted in court hearings and perpetrators going to prison. Jailed in January: 1) James Cherry, aged 28, of no fixed address in Swindon, was jailed for eight years and seven months after breaking a woman s jaw and robbing several shops. In 2020 Cherry robbed a series of shops in Swindon including a McColls shop, a pop-up shop in Cavendish Square, the Esso service station on Dorcan Way, the Lloyds Pharmacy in Park South and Superdrug in the town centre. ....
December 14, 2020 Choun Moody, age 49, of Leesville, was arrested by Agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force. Agents charged Moody with one count of Possession of Cocaine and one count of Turn signals required. Bond was set at $15,635.00. Moody posted bond and was released. David Oneil, age 40, of Leesville, was arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant. Bond was set at $3500.00. Oneil remains in the VPSO jail. Charlene Matthews, age 28, of Leesville, was arrested by Agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force. Agents charged Matthews with one count of Turn signals required, one count of Operating a vehicle while license are suspended, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count of Possession of Marijuana, and one count of Illegal possession of a stolen firearm. Bond was set at $12,592.00. Matthews posted bond and was released. ....
