Swift bidding at Keith Downs special draft dairy sale

SKIPTON Auction Mart added an extra fixture to its already busy Spring dairy calendar with a special draft sale from Keith Downs, who farms with his wife Pam and son, David, at Milnerfields Farm, Bingley. As a result, bidding was swift as people tried to secure other cattle from this home to add to their own herds.

Early in June 2020, the society decided a conventional show on the August Bank Holiday Monday would not be possible, but they wholeheartedly embraced a bespoke ‘one-off’ online event. Ele Acaster-Law, Alex Welch and Sarah Liddle – all longstanding committee members – were tasked with bringing the show to fruition and were supported by the show committee and sponsors who came on board.
