Eat Cookies, Give Food is the brainchild of Acton mom Kimberly Hurwitz, as a way to help alleviate food insecurity and insufficiency in Acton and Boxborough. She hopes to sell her homemade cookies and donate the proceeds to organizations that help those living in the local community and beyond: Acton Community Supper and Food Pantry, Feeding America, and Community Servings (which delivers healthy, homemade meals to chronically/critically ill individuals and their families throughout the state).
A long-time baker who calls baking fun, Hurwitz has lived in Acton for 22 years. She is the mother of two daughters who have attended Acton-Boxborough public schools; her youngest is a senior at ABRHS.
