Don’t think that Resorts World plans to skip the casual food when it opens on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip this summer. Aside for the already announced hawker center food hall Famous Foods Street Eats, the resort opening this summer has everything from a celebrity-favorite vegan restaurant and paper-thin pizza from Beverly Hills to a casual restaurant from local restaurateur Billy Richardson and another location for a San Diego Mexican restaurant.

These are some of the portraits of San Diego during World War II that were drawn here yesterday by businessman George A. Scott.
FIRST PRESIDENT
Scott was the first president of the San Diego USO established here in 1941 and served in that capacity until 1948. The USO yesterday celebrated its 30th anniversary with a luncheon honoring past presidents, military men and women, and citizens who made it all possible through entirely volunteer work.
