An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred only 23 minutes ago 77 km south of San Jose, Northern Mariana Islands, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 105.8 km beneath the epicenter near San Jose, Tinian, Northern Mariana Islands, around noon on Tuesday 27 April 2021 at 1:40 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
