One Suffering From Seizure Airlifted To Hospital From Santa Clarita
One person suffering from a seizure was airlifted from the Castaic Lake parking lot in Santa Clarita Friday afternoon, officials said.
Around 1:40 p.m. Friday, emergency responders received reports of a medical emergency on the 31000 block of The Old Road just off of the southbound 5 Freeway in Castaic, according to Marvin Lim, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The call came in as a seizure,” Lim said. “We are transporting one patient via copter 22.”
The helicopter landed at the Castaic Lake SRA parking lot to transport the patient to a trauma center, according to Fire officials.
Fiery Wrong-Way Crash Sparks Crown Fire North Of Santa Clarita
A fiery 14 Freeway crash blocked all northbound lanes and sparked a brush fire, dubbed the Crown Fire, north of Santa Clarita Friday afternoon.
UPDATE ( 7 p.m.) : All northbound lanes have been reopened according to CHP officials.
Around 2:45 p.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving fire that spread to the brush on the northbound 14 Freeway near Crown Valley Road in Acton, said Charisma Murillo, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It came in as a traffic collision and was upgraded to a brush fire,” Murillo said.
Two Arrested On Multiple Felonies After Santa Clarita Traffic Stop
Two felony suspects, including one wanted man, were arrested in Santa Clarita Friday after a routine traffic stop.
Around 7:30 a.m. Friday, deputies patrolling the Old Road near Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with several vehicle code violations, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“During (the) traffic stop, deputies contacted the occupants of the vehicle and learned the male adult driver did not have a valid driver’s license,” Arriaga said. “During investigation, deputies learned the male had several outstanding warrants.”
