Chadderton school inspires children to learn outdoors with help from Redrow Date published: 15 May 2021
The community fund was launched following the opening of Saddleworth View, where Redrow is building new homes in the Moorside area
School children in Chadderton will benefit from additional outdoor learning resources - including a construction themed play area - thanks to a donation by housebuilder Redrow.
Whitegate End Primary School received £300 from Redrow’s Oldham Community fund, which was used to purchase items for their new outdoor learning and play space.
This included a sand pit, a tools bench and some tools, where budding young builders can practice their skills.

Redrow has exchanged contracts on a 200-home plot between Royton and Shaw, while Cube Homes has submitted plans for a £7m development in Moorside.
The purchase in Cowlishaw by housebuilding giant Redrow represents the sixth site acquisition announced by the firm’s Lancashire division this year.
The site has outline consent, and a reserved matters application has now been lodged by advisor Ryan & May, with a hoped-for start date of early 2022.
Redrow’s site sits off Cocker Mill Lane on the edge of Shaw, and will feature 205 new homes and five acres of green space, which will include a new orchard.

Schoolchildren in need of additional educational support following lockdown will benefit from a donation by housebuilder Redrow towards new IT equipment.
Progress Education, based in Oldham, is an organisation that provides extra support to schools and pupils in maths, English and science.
They have received £650 from Redrow which has funded a new laptop in order to provide free online teaching to disadvantaged pupils.
