Paulson: Saskatoon housing is in seller s market territory

Guérette moves over on June 1, while Yochim is already learning the ropes at the SRHBA. Both have a great deal of experience in the housing industry. Guérette was previously chief operating officer of the Association of Saskatchewan Realtors® and has served on various committees with the Canadian Real Estate Association and the Ontario Real Estate Association. Yochim has worked in real estate for 30 years, including with the SRA and a long stint with the Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors® (which was amalgamated into the SRA). It’s such a Saskatoony, biggish-city-small-town sort of thing to have happen. Meanwhile, the SRHBA is assuring everyone that it’s pretty much business as usual during the transfer.

Real estate market in Regina heats up after pandemic pause

Posted: May 06, 2021 6:00 AM CT | Last Updated: May 6 Tyler Koda says it was easier selling his house than buying a house.(Brian Rodgers/CBC) Realtors, buyers and sellers are experiencing a hot market in Regina after a pause caused by the pandemic. Tyler Koda sold his house in Regina in March. He said it was on the market for 25 hours before it was sold. Buying a house was definitely more troublesome than selling, Koda said. Koda said he and his wife looked at a dozen houses before purchasing the one they are currently living in. It was frustrating in a way that every time we would look at a place, something wasn t exactly what we needed or what we wanted. There would always sort of be a missing element, Koda said. Beyond that, when we would go inquire about purchase or even possibly make an offer, it had already been sold.

Homes in Saskatchewan selling faster as March sets sales record

(980 CJME file photo) It’s a good time to buy a home in Saskatchewan, if you can find one you like. The real estate market in the province set a March sales record, up 85 per cent from March 2020, according to the Saskatchewan Realtors Association. The MLS Home Price Index composite was up close to nine per cent, from $255,800 to $278,400. “The real estate market has been really brisk. It has been what people describe as a seller’s market because of such limited inventory. Buyers are having a tough time finding that perfect house,” said Craig Adam of RE/MAX Crown Real Estate.
