The country’s officials blame its deteriorating economy on pressure over Amman’s solid stands on regional matters  
Jordan is being targeted economically due to its political stands on issues affecting Arab states, the country’s leaders say.
Jordanian lawmaker Yanal Fraihat said Tuesday that Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh told parliament that “Jordan has been subjected to an economic blockade during the past three years because of its political positions,” during discussion about the political situation of the kingdom in a heated session.
In 2019, King Abdullah II said that crises in the region have cast a shadow over Jordan, and Amman has paid the price for its positions, during his Speech from the Throne at the opening of the Fourth Ordinary Session of the 18th Parliament. ....

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are facing threats from Iran and regional instability, and are constantly strengthening their military systems, experts say
The US State Department has approved possible arms sales to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Egypt worth a total of more than $4.8 billion.
The US Defense Department’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of the prospective deals on Tuesday, giving lawmakers 30 days to block the sales if they wish.
Kuwait is approved to buy eight AH-64E Apache Longbow Attack Helicopters, equipment to upgrade 16 AH-64D Apache helicopters to the AH-64E version, and spare parts to upgrade its Patriot missile systems, for a total of $4.2 billion. ....
