Meet the 2021 Dover Foundation Scholars Every year since 1968 the Dover Foundation has given scholarships to local students to help curb the rising cost of a secondary education. This year was no different, with the foundation giving $150,000 worth of scholarships to 11 Cleveland County students. The foundation hosted its annual scholarship awards event last week at the Le Grand Center to recognize those students. “The Dover Foundation is pleased to encourage these exceptionally talented students by playing a small part in their academic journeys. Hearing about their plans encourages me and gives me hope for a bright future”, said Kathy Wilson, president of the Dover Foundation. ....

As Savannah Burns celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, officers in Gatton brought the excited young girl along for an adventure-filled day of policing. The seven-year-old hit the streets with her fellow officers, saying hello to locals, sounding the lights and sirens in an official police car, conducting an RBT and even sitting in the cockpit of the police helicopter, Polair.
