Mit dem Streaming-Riesen Netflix (Serie The Empress ), der Regisseurin Frauke Finsterwalder (Kinofilm Sisi und ich ) und dem RTL-Streamingdienst TVNOW haben in jüngster Vergangenheit gleich drei Produktionen die Chance ergriffen. A weeklong relief distribution of the Bangladesh Navy has brought the happiness of Eid among the people of the coastal areas, including in Mongla and the Sundarbans.
Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, members of the Bangladesh Navy went door to door in remote areas to share the happiness of Eid with the helpless people, who cannot ask for relief because of their social statuses.
From May 6, under the weeklong relief distribution programme arranged on account of the lockdown, holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, Navy s independent command area Commander Flotilla West distributed relief and money among the poor of remote southwestern coastal area along with the Sundarbans.

Only about ten to twelve years ago, thousands of acres of land in Khulna would remain uncultivated after the harvesting of Aman rice, but growing of watermelon there did not cross the farmers minds.
In course of time, the scenario has changed and a growing number of farmers in the district are cultivating watermelon on the unused land in the hope of making a quick buck.

The people of Khulna had not even considered watermelon farming just 10 or 12 years ago, when thousands of acres of land would remain uncultivated after the aman paddy season.
Farmers in the district s Dacope and Dumuria upazila were engaged in shrimp farming while lands in Batiaghata upazila was used for sesame cultivation.
But things have changed in recent years as numerous farmers across the region have started cultivating watermelon in order to reap quick returns.
