LOUIS, May 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) today announced the third annual Global Lifestyle Medicine Week, with the observance this year slated to run from May 30th to June 5th. The week will showcase the six health pillars of the burgeoning field, serving as a public awareness campaign to highlight the benefits of evidence-based lifestyle medicine therapeutic approaches, including a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and positive social connection as a primary modality, delivered by clinicians trained and certified in this specialty, to prevent, treat, and often reverse chronic disease.
