UK holidays are enjoying a boost this summer, as restrictions on domestic travel in the UK ease, amidst ongoing uncertainty for holidays abroad.
Self-contained accommodation is already open in England and Wales, with Scotland following suit from Monday (April 26), and unsurprisingly firms have seen surges in bookings for holiday cottages.
Of course on a self-catered stay there are still some chores to be done (mainly when it comes to cooking your own meals), but there are plenty of easy ways you can make life a little easier for yourself - and in some cases, even add a touch of unexpected luxury to your staycation.
