Park City police blotter: Driver hits power box

The Park City Police Department on Friday, May 21, at 1:03 p.m. logged a case from the 10 a.m. hour that day of a driver hitting a power box at or close to the intersection of Aerie Drive and Mellow Mountain Road. The police logs indicated residences nearby lost power as a result of the accident. The logs did not provide details about the accident. The incident, though, was logged as a hit-and-run case. In an unrelated case, on Wednesday, May 19 at 3:25 p.m., the police were told a truck on Park Avenue “ripped a bunch of line off from above” the house of the person who contacted the authorities. The person was unsure whether it was a power line that was hit.

City of P A highlights activities for safe holiday fun

A new inventory of recreational activities aims to provide ideas for family fun this holiday season, all while abiding by provincial COVID-19 guidelines and health orders. The list, which includes 13 toboggan hills, indoor and outdoor rinks, walking trails, virtual cooking activities and more, was released by the City of Prince Albert Friday. It has been added to the P.A. Together at Home webpage that was created earlier this year. “We hear a lot about what we cannot do these days,” Community Services Director for the City Jody Boulet said in a media release. “This page brings together the list of activities that we can do this holiday season. We are encouraging all residents to stay positive, stay safe and explore the opportunities that are available to them.”
