Community Builders of Kansas City names chief operations and real estate officer June 10, 2021

Community Builders of Kansas City has named Shannon Hesterberg chief operations and real estate officer overseeing all aspects of operations and real estate for the organization.
Hesterberg joined CBKC in 2004 as project manager and in 2014 was promoted to director of real estate, responsible for project management of development projects from design through construction and into operation.
Prior to CBKC, Hesterberg was team leader at R.D. Zande & Associates, a quality assurance company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, where she managed design and project management of land developments. Before that Hesterberg served as project manager and environmental engineer at EnSafe, an environmental consulting firm headquartered in Memphis, Tenn. and at Land Tech Remedial engineering firm in Monroe, Conn.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â People living east of Prospect Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, will once again have access to fresh food.
On Saturday, a Sun Fresh Market reopened after the former owner announced his retirement last year.
Community Builders of Kansas City, a nonprofit, stepped in and purchased the store after he announced his announcement.
The store now offers items like fresh flowers, packages salads and online shopping that allows people to drive up and have groceries to their car.

University of Kansas Health System daily update
The University of Kansas Health System has seen a decrease in the number of patients with active COVID-19 infections, with seven to start out the week. Two of those are in the ICU and one is on a ventilator. An additional 10 patients are in recovery phases of the virus.

KANSAS CITY, Mo â Many organizations in the Kansas City area continue to play vital roles in the vaccine roll out.
On Saturday, Community Builders of Kansas City hosted its seventh, and last event for the first round of the Pfizer vaccine.
Community Relations Manager, DaRon McGee, said the group has administered over eight thousand vaccinations so far.
âSo we know currently about 70% of our overall population still needs to be vaccinated, and amongst our children, that s even higher amongst our population, McGee said. So kids need to be vaccinated so we re trying to provide that opportunity.â
