Its exterior remains almost unchanged from 1920, when the two-story, brick building was built to honor soldiers, sailors and Marines who served in World War I and previous wars. The interior is undergoing a major renovation to make it more attractive and user-friendly. ....
Oxnard s finance director has been known to break bad news. Whether it s a budget in the red or decimated reserves, Kevin Riper has been the bearer of grim news ever since he was hired two years ago. But the budget update considered during Tuesday s City Council meeting took on a different tone. The financial situation has turned around for the general fund, Oxnard s main spending account, with $17 million more in revenues than anticipated at the start of the pandemic. It s owed to a variety of reasons but the main driver of a much improved financial situation is the voter approved Measure E. The new sales tax, an additional 1.5% for city services, begins April 1. ....
Redfield hospital names new CEO REDFIELD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield has a new leader. Karen Sjurseth began her duties as the new CEO of the hospital this week. Redfield CMH is an Avera Partner in Health facility in the Avera St. Luke’s Region. Sjurseth and her family relocated to Redfield from Grand Rapids, Minnesota where she most recently served as the Director of Imaging at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. Sjurseth has her Master’s degree in Health Care Administration and is working on her Doctorate in Health Administration. “Karen has great enthusiasm for rural health care and she’ll be a great asset for the patients, staff and community of Redfield,” said Tom Snyder, Avera St. Luke’s Vice President of Network Operations & LTC. ....
Access To Care gets $40,000 grant from Community Memorial Foundation
Posted1/7/2021 1:27 PM Access to Care in Westchester received a $40,000 grant award from Community Memorial Foundation. This generous grant will allow Access to Care to continue prioritizing and providing accessible health care services to their communities.
These communities have been particularly hard hit by COVID-19 and will continue to need support in the new year. We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Community Memorial Foundation.
