Shaikh Dahiru Bauchi made the comment when he received a Christian delegation led by a former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, and Pastor Yohana Buru of Peace Revival and Reconciliation of Nigeria at his Kaduna residence on Tuesday.
The cleric described the level of insecurity in the country as worrisome and disheartening, adding that Nigerians didn’t expect this to be happening with the government in charge of the security apparatus.
“What we expect from all the three levels of government, be it Federal, State and Local government, is to get us out of this problem because nobody is safe.

Muslim women living with HIV/AIDs in Kaduna State, yesterday, received support from the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria to enable them to participate fully in the Ramadan fasting.
The founder, Pastor Yohanna Buru, while presenting a bag of maize and millet each to the women in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state said the gesture was to strengthen them to engage in their prayers.
He then called on them to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for the stability of the country and for God to bring an end to banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and terrorism.

Northern clergy seek ties with Yoruba leader to promote peace, unity

IN a bid to promote peaceful co-existence between the North and the South West, a team of religious leaders have sought close ties with a Yoruba monarch in the North to promote peace and strengthen good relationship among all the tribes living in the North.
The visit was also to encourage understanding among the diverse people in the 36 states of the country, irrespective of their tribe, culture, religion and ethnic background.
During the visit, the Chairman Yoruba Council of Obas and chiefs in Northern Nigeria, Ambassador Mohammed Aribgabuwo, emphasised that Nigeria is home to all and sundry.
