Farm Bill legalized hemp in the U.S. A subsidiary of Other World Management, an agri-business with multiple divisions in the hemp industry, the company operates with a ‘zero-waste’ philosophy where every aspect of the plant is used.

Friedland told the publication that the total shipment, which represents just three to five acres of hemp, could yield about 377 kilograms of CBD oil.
Beyond medicinal use, Golden State Hemp is also researching using hemp fibre, stems and waste in the production of bioplastics.

A Nova Scotia cannabis grower is doing its part to make cannabis packaging more environmentally friendly.
Aqualitas who are based in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia (Queens) recently announced a partnership with Sana Packaging who specialize in making containers from recovered ocean plastic.
“While our facility is a low energy and low water consumer due to our LED lights and aquaponic systems, we wanted to do more,” said Josh Adler, Aqualitas’ Director of Operations. “We made it our mission to identify sustainable packaging across all of our product offerings.”
