SAN ANTONIO – Three teens that could be tied to an overnight crime spree surrendered peacefully to San Antonio police after a brief standoff Wednesday morning on the city’s Southwest Side.
The teens ages 18, 17 and 15 were spotted by a San Antonio police officer around 7 a.m. leaving a stolen Dodge Nitro and entering a home in the 800 block of Price Avenue, according to public information officer Jennifer Rodriguez.
Hours earlier, around 2 a.m., the owner of the Nitro called police and reported he had been robbed at gunpoint. The suspects went on to commit a drive-by shooting around 4 a.m. in the 800 block of Oletha Street before robbing a driver of their Lexus on Sussex Avenue, Rodriguez said.

When her second-grade class was starting to feel drained by virtual learning, Tiffany Kane ordered pizza kits for her students so they could cook and eat together during class.
“I have done a lot of extra activities with my students that went beyond just what is in the curriculum,” Kane said. “Kind of like social and emotional learning and just some kind of time to spend together.

A former Dover High School athlete was found mortally wounded Monday night less than a mile from Delaware s Legislative Hall.
Dover police said Dazhmier Brooks had been shot in the chest, but did not provide information on why the 19-year-old man had been shot.
Brooks killing, the first in Dover this year, drew remarks from the young man s former coaches. Words can t describe the loss I m feeling right now, Dover high s former football coach Rudy Simonetti tweeted out. I love all my players, past and present, they are like my own kids. Dazhmier, I love you man, Rest In Peace; you exemplified what it means to be ALL IN. My thoughts and prayers are with the Brooks family.
