Illinois inmate details escape from jail

FULTON COUNTY (WEEK) A person identifying himself as 26-year-old Cody Villalobos says he and three other inmates escaped an Illinois jail through a hole made by a toilet that fell off the wall in their cellblock.
Villalobos called the newsroom of KWWL sister-station WEEK Thursday evening from the Fulton County Jail, where he is now back in custody following his recapture.
“The toilet was already broke,” Villalobos said. “I went to sit on it, and it started falling. So I got up and it just completely fell off the wall. And it’s just a hole right there where the catwalk is so they can do maintenance and stuff.”

Last of 4 Illinois escapees from Fulton County Jail captured

LEWISTOWN, Ill. - The last of four people who escaped from the Fulton County Jail in western Illinois last week has been captured, authorities said Sunday.
The Fulton County sheriff’s office says Zachary Hart was caught near Canton. Hart, 36, was being held on charges including home invasion, possession of a firearm by a felon and fleeing police. He escaped from jail in western Illinois with Jesse Davis, 35, Cody Villalobos, 26, and Eugene Roets, 23. They were captured Thursday.

The Fulton County ESDA office says the final fugitive from last week’s Fulton County Jail prison break has been taken into custody.
36 year old Zachary Hart was taken into custody at 11:37AM on the railroad tracks, east of the Wee Ma Tuk entrance. Authorities said Hart was heading east in the direction of Canton on County 5 Highway, according to WEEK in Peoria.
U.S. Marshals were searching an area northwest of Cuba when a resident called in a sighting of Hart at 8:39PM Saturday. The resident was able to capture Hart on camera. Searches in that area came up empty. He was eventually caught on the railroad tracks outside of Canton without incident.
