The order would impact places such as the Prudential Center and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and would apply to both indoor and outdoor venues. Gov. Phil Murphy is not yet mandating that venues have vaccination policies in place. But as more COVID-19 restrictions around the country are lifted, New Jersey seems to be at odds with other nearby states. New Jersey and Hawaii are the only states still requiring fully vaccinated people to wear a mask indoors.

Student lawsuits against UD COVID-19 shutdown can proceed

(AP) A federal judge on Tuesday refused to dismiss two lawsuits filed against the University of Delaware by current and former students who argue that they are entitled to refunds for services they didn t receive when officials shut down the campus last spring because of the coronavirus epidemic. Judge Stephanos Bibas ruled that while the students may not be entitled to tuition refunds, they can at least pursue reimbursement claims for student fees that covered services they didn t receive. At a minimum, the fees claims are going to survive and proceed to discovery here, he said.

At the bar, there are no plexiglass dividers or seating limits, and there’s the vague sense that there are a lot of people in this restaurant tonight. After working for others for more than a decade, Brian Wingert struck out on his own and has opened Shoreline Repair Services. Wingert, based in Rising Sun, will come to your location and fix your appliances, computers, laptops or gaming systems. “I had been employed with Aaron’s Rent to Own,” Wingert said Tuesday. His job was to repair washers and dryers, refrigerators and other rental items to make them ready to be rented again. However recently he decided to do it for himself and officially opened Shoreline Repair Services. “I work with all brands,” Wingert said, noting he was going to repair a Samsung refrigerator with a broken ice maker.

Fieri quietly rolled out a delivery-only chain operating under the name Flavortown Kitchen. This time around, Fieri, known for highlighting local establishments in Wilmington and elsewhere through his “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives TV show, is going the corporate route. He’s joined other celebs in cashing in on the trend toward “ghost kitchens.” Fieri hooked up with the Earl chain, which owns a host of restaurant brands that fell on hard times. The locations for Flavortown Kitchen in Delaware are Earl’s Bertucci’s at Christiana Town Center and north Wilmington, and the Brio at Christiana Mall.
