James Sabin A CRAVEN ‘young citizen of the year’ James Sabin, a former pupil at The Skipton Academy, has been appointed head student at Ilkley Grammar School. James ,17, was one of a number of pupils from the Skipton school to join Ilkley Grammar School Sixth Form in September 2020 as part of the Moorlands Learning Trust partnership. James, who last year was named ‘young citizen of the year’ in the Craven Community Champions Awards, is studying Criminology, Sociology and BTEC L3 Sport with the hope of joining the police next year. Each year Ilkley Grammar School appoints pupils to its ‘Post-16 Student Leadership Team’ through a rigorous application process.
