LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - On May 15, Longview police officers responded to a call on West Marshall Avenue, behind the Sunset Inn Motel.
Police say a tree-clearing crew discovered what is believed to be human remains behind the motel. Officers located the scene and called in detectives and physical evidence specialists to search the area.
Detectives found what appeared to be skeletal human remains that have been sent to the University of North Texas Forensic Anthropology for forensic and human identification.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KSLA) - The Longview Police Department has opened an investigation after human remains were found behind a motel there on Saturday, May 15.
Police say officers responded to the call about a body being found behind the Sunset Inn, located in the 1300 block of W Marshall Avenue, after a tree-clearing crew came upon the human remains.
The skeletal remains have been sent to the University of North Texas Forensic Anthropology for identification.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Longview police are investigating a shooting incident that happened Friday on South Green St.
Police say they responded at 11:10 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of S. Green St. They say at this time, there are no known victims, but there was some property damage to a convenience store and vehicle.
Police said there are no suspects at this time. Anyone with any information is asked to call them at 903-237-1199 or Gregg County Crimestoppers at 903-236-STOP.
