Investigation Discovery is examining the strange murder case of wrestler Dave Schultz, who was gunned down by eccentric millionaire John du Pont, seemingly for no apparent reason.
Du Pont was a millionaire philanthropist and chemical company heir who owed the extensive Foxcatcher Farm near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Du Pont was a keen wrestling and athletic enthusiast, which led him to sponsor the USA Olympic Wrestling team and establish an amateur training facility at his estate.

Doom for Rent on ID is investigating the murder of landlady Anita Cowen by her tenant, Scott Edmund Pettigrew, at their home in Cathedral City, California, in 2016.
On the evening of June 14, 2016, the police were dispatched to the home of 66-year-old Cowen, where she was found unresponsive, lying face down in her backyard pool. Parademics attempted to revive her, but sadly, she died a short time later.

This was a tumultuous year for Nevada County on a number of fronts, with COVID-19 causing disruptions in the criminal justice system and causing major changes in how law enforcement handles arrests and detentions.
