Grotto guardians in Chongqing have been protecting ancient Buddhist relics since 1987
A group of volunteers in Chongqing have guarded the Dazu Grottoes for decades, forming a concerted effort with the local authorities to protect the world heritage site.
The grottoes, which are spread over 100 locations in Chongqing s Dazu district, date back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and peaked in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).

The Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu province are a glorious pearl on the ancient Silk Road, and a typical example of traditional Chinese culture, said Su Bomin, a deputy to the National People s Congress, in an interview during the fourth session of the 13th congress which opened on Friday in Beijing.
During President Xi Jinping s visit to Dunhuang in August 2019, he called for more efforts to carry forward the culture of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

NOTRE DAME, Indiana On January 18, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Notre Dame Athletics gathered coaches, administrators and student-athletes who had returned to campus in preparation for the spring to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy. Taking place at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes on Notre Dame’s campus, the service included a period of reflection on the work of Dr. King, as well as prayers for the healing of the nation. Eric Love, Director of Staff Diversity and Inclusion at Notre Dame, led the service.

Santa s helpers are fuming after a senseless attack by vandals on a Christchurch building called Santa s Mega Grotto.
Six windows were smashed over the weekend at the QEII Park building containing floats for the Santa Parade.
None of the floats stored inside was damaged.
