A man from Fairfield had a hell of a morning and he s facing multiple charges after a wild incident over the weekend in which he jumped off of the Q Bridge in New Haven into the water below. This happened after allegedly crashing a stolen vehicle and holding a big sack of weed.
According to a press release we received from the Connecticut State Police, at 10:15AM Saturday morning, February 20, 2021, Troopers from the Connecticut State Police - Troop G - responded to a call of a 1 car motor vehicle accident on the Northbound side of the Q/Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge on I-95 in New Haven.

A man who jumped off the Pearl Harbor Bridge Saturday morning survived and was rescued from the Quinnipiac River, a city official said.
New Haven Emergency Management Director Rick Fontana said the man jumped into the river at about 10:20 a.m. following a traffic stop on the bridge. “The man got out of the car and ran in the middle the bridge jumped off,” Fontana said
