Jammu and Kashmir Police save four youth from joining terrorist ranks

Two youths from Jammu and Kashmir s Ganderbal district and two from the Budgam district were prevented from joining terror ranks after they were apprehended by the police.
SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal said, “Two youth hailing from Batwina and Kurhama areas of Ganderbal, who had left home to join militancy were being brought back. He added, “Ganderbal police succeeded in bringing back these two youth. He said Parents of both the youth were unaware about their activities.”

The one-day Sonamarg winter festival was organised by Directorate of Tourism Kashmir in collaboration with district administration Ganderbal, Sonamarg Development Authority, Hoteliers’ Association Sonamarg, NIEL and NHIDCL.

GANDERBAL, Feb 25: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan today inaugurated one-day Sonamarg winter festival that witnessed the participation of hundreds of locals and tourists. During the festival, various colourful activities and cultural programmes were performed.

Srinagar: Series of activities to raise awareness among the masses with respect to road safety marked the culmination of National Road Safety Month-2021 themed ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ across all the districts of Kashmir.
On the occasion, Valediction function was held at Srinagar and at all the districts to observe the conclusion of the month long awareness drive that was kick started on 18 January, 2021.
During this period, a number of activities including debates, quiz, essay and painting competitions, distribution of pamphlets and print material, blood donation camp, fitness mela, walkathon, rallies to raise mass awareness among the drivers and the public about road safety norms besides health check up camps were conducted by the Regional Transport Authority, Kashmir and Astt. Regional Transport Offices of all the districts.
