State’s Blueprint To Reopen: Calaveras and Tuolumne remain in the purple tier of the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy color Tier System, which updated today. Today’s reports for Tuolumne County are a 5.2 Case Rate and 2.1% Test Positivity Rate. Tuolumne Public Health says they continue to see a decline in our case and positivity rates and state, “As a reminder, to move forward, counties must meet the lesser restrictive tier metrics for two consecutive weeks before being assigned to that tier. Continuing to follow all of the preventive measures will help us continue on the path to the Red Tier.” For Calaveras, testing positivity is down to 3.6% from 4% last week. The case rate is 4.5 down from a 9.4 case rate last week which like Tuolumne is the first time Calaveras has met the guidelines metrics since Mid-November. Covid-19 Regional Report Monday Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports ten new community cases since Friday and they all appear to be isolating. There is one resident with COVID-19 who is currently hospitalized. Active community cases increased to 49. Seven individuals have been released from isolation. The new community cases are two boys under 17, a woman and a man age 18 to 29, 2 women and a man between age 30 and 39, a man age 40 to 49, a man age 70 to 79, and a woman age 80 to 89. Tuolumne County has a total of 3,960 cases split between 2,546 community cases and 1,414 Sierra Conservation Center inmate cases. Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports 12 new community cases including one Tuolumne County Jail inmate and one new Sierra Conservation Center inmate case. A total of 8 jail inmates are involved in the current outbreak that public health is investigating. All of the new cases appear to be isolating, one earlier reported case is now hospitalized and two individuals have been released from isolation. Two residents with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized. Active community cases increased to 46. The new community cases are 1 female under 17, 2 females and 1 male 18-29, 1 male 30-39 2 females and 2 males age 40-49, 1female age 50-59, and 2 females 70-79. Tuolumne County has a total of 3,944 cases split between 2,531 community cases and 1,413 inmate cases.
