A: Emotional Well-Being. Being free from life-interfering, negative emotions.
Q: What is the first step in assessing your own mental health?
A: Slow down. Take the time to ask yourself some questions and really be able to put thought into the answers: How would I describe my mood overall? Has my mood changed at all over the last six months? Has my level of stress changed in the last six months to a year? Have I had thoughts of wanting to hurt myself, or of wanting to go to sleep and not wake up?
