The Philippines, like much of the world, is facing not only the ongoing pandemic but also an ongoing waste management problem. In hopes of contributing to local solutions, Coca-Cola Philippines – through its social investment arm Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines – is partnering with Teach for the Philippines (TFP) in a program that encourages and educates teachers, students, and families to become responsible environmental stewards.

The Coca-Cola Foundation (global) is donating $400,000 (P20 million) to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to help expedite vaccine distribution around the country.
The grant is part of a $20 million total global fund of the world’s leading beverage compay to support nonprofit partners working to stop the spread of COVID-19 through vaccine distribution, personal protective equipment, and public awareness efforts.
The grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation will be used in establishing PRC-operated Bakuna Centers, supporting local government unit-operated centers with manpower, deploying PRC COVID-19 Mobile Vaccine Clinics.

Coca-Cola, Del Monte Foundation provide access to safe water, education
For an archipelago and a country that’s known to be rich in bodies of water, the Philippines still faces a water crisis due to many factors. According to UNICEF, access to basic water services in the country remains inequitable and one in 10 Filipinos still lacks access to improved water sources.
This used to be the reality of residents in Barangay Kulasi, a small community and the poorest among 10 barangays in the municipality of Sumilao in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao.
