New Orleans has had great success developing overlooked defensive linemen from major college programs.  Could they find more fortunate from a program very familiar to them?

The New Orleans Saints have done a terrific job at finding talent at the defensive tackle position that’s been overlooked by other teams in recent years. Taylor Stallworth was added as an undrafted rookie from South Carolina in 2018. Shy Tuttle went undrafted out of Tennessee in 2019. Malcolm Roach was overlooked in last year s draft, but quickly scooped up by the Saints.
Each of those three defenders made an impact for the New Orleans defense as rookies. They teamed with David Onyemata and former 1st round picks Sheldon Rankins and Malcom Brown to give the Saints the deepest pool of defensive tackles in the league. Depth was so complete that Stallworth couldn t even crack the rotation and was released midway through the 2019 ....

Pittman adds Kennedy and Ashley, promotes Scherer

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Head Coach Sam Pittman has added two coaches to the Razorbacks’ staff with Cody Kennedy taking over the team’s tight ends and Jermial Ashley tabbed to lead defensive line. Michael Scherer has been promoted to lead the Hogs’ linebackers.
Kennedy joins the Razorbacks after a brief time at Southern Miss this offseason. He joined the Golden Eagles with new head coach Will Hall as the team’s run game coordinator and offensive line coach. Kennedy had spent the last two seasons at Tulane as the Green Wave’s offensive line coach, where he helped revive Tulane’s offense. The Wave’s running game ranked in the Top 20 nationally each of the last two seasons, including last year running for 217.1 yards per game to lead the American Athletic Conference. This past season two of his offensive linemen earned All-American Athletic Conference honors with Corey Dublin ....

The Nevada Wolf Pack will square off against the Tulane Green Wave in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 12:30 p.m. PST. It will be played on the blue turf at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. The game will air on ESPN and Watch ESPN networks.
The Wolf Pack are winless in 12 consecutive games on the blue turf, which dates back to 1997.
Nevada is appearing in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl for the second consecutive season. It dropped 30-21 to the Ohio Bobcats in last year’s meeting. They were victorious in their previous two bowl meetings against Arkansas State in 2018 and Colorado State in 2015. The Pack are 6-11 all-time in bowl games. ....
