Facebook Share An Upstate New York legislator has resigned after making homophobic remarks, suggesting all gay people should be put on an island. WRGB reports Albany County Legislator George Langdon IV, of Coeymans, N.Y., announced Monday he was stepping down and issued an apology. “I again express my sincerest apologies to all those who were hurt by my rash and thoughtless statements. It was never my intention to single-out or target anyone,” Langdon said in a statement. “I truly believe every individual should have the right to life and liberty in their pursuit of happiness.”
