(TNN) - A local health official is weighing in on the CDC announcing fully vaccinated people can go without a mask indoors and out. Dr. Scott Michener with Comanche County Memorial said this is one step closer in getting back to normal. “Those people who are vaccinated can now live their life like the pandemic is over,” Michener said. However, he said some medical experts feel like the move was made to soon.

CCMH to allow More Visitors

If you have had a loved one in the hospital recently, you know that visitors have been limited to only 1 person.  Well, that is changing at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. But there is a catch.  To allow the two additional visitors, CCMH must have documentation that your have received your COVID vaccine and only to visit patients that are non COVID patients. They will keep the one patient advocate in effect for the patients entire stay at the hospital. When you go to visit you will stop at the Guest Relations center with your proof of Vaccination card, must be screened and you must wear a mask at all times you are in the patients room.

(TNN) - The last group of heath care workers and support staff at Comanche County Memorial Hospital are getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Terrell Smith was the last in his household to get the COVID-19 vaccination. Smith said he was excited about the vaccine, as life had been somewhat stressful with his mother, father, two younger brothers, and himself all working at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. “But for the most part we’re a strong family and we’re united so we love each other and with that union and that bond it does make COVID a lot easier to progress through,” Smith said.
