국내에서 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 변이 바이러스 중 하나인 델타 플러스 가 처음 검출된 것으로 파악됐다.
3일 동아일보에 따르면 방역당국이 최근 코로나19 확진 판정을 받은 남성 A씨의 유전자 염기서열을 분석한 결과, 지난달 30일 델타 플러스 변이 검출이 확인됐다.
방역당국은 A씨 주변을 대상으로 델타 플러스 변이 감염 여부를 추가 조사하고 있다. 수도권에 사는 A씨는 자녀가 다니는 학원에서 집단감염이 발생하면서 밀접접촉자로 분류돼 검사를 받은 것으로 전해졌다.
