Coroner Fisher says one has died following Thursday morning collision
Lexington, SC – 03/13/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Thursday evening that one of the passengers of a vehicle involved in the collision at Boiling Springs Road and Bethany Church / Redmond Roads has now died. This collision happened on Thursday, March 11, 2021 just before 10:00 a.m.
Coroner Fisher said that Phillip Auston Jones, 26, of West Columbia was pronounced dead at an area hospital on March 12, 2021 due to his injuries. Jones was riding in the rear seat of a vehicle that was travelling toward Pelion when the driver of the vehicle he was in disregarded the stop sign. When it entered the intersection, it struck a work vehicle travelling along Boiling Springs Road.

Feb. 26 A motorcyclist who died Wednesday after colliding with a van in Lexington County has been identified as a 59-year-old Lexington man, the county coroner s office said.
Marvin Drawdy was heading north on Boiling Springs Road just before 5 p.m. when he struck the rear of a 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter that had slowed to make a turn, officials said.
Drawdy, whose 1992 Yamaha motorcycle burst into flames after hitting the van from behind, was pronounced dead at the scene, South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper David Jones said. He was not wearing a helmet, Jones said.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - A man killed in a motorcycle crash in Lexington County has been identified.
It happened around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday on Boiling Springs Road near Platt Springs Road in Lexington.
Officials said a 1992 Yamaha Motorcycle ran into the back of a 2018 Mercedes Sprinter Van as it slowed down to turn onto a private driveway. Upon impact, the motorcycle caught on fire.
The motorcyclist, Marvin Drawdy, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene. Official said he not wearing a helmet.
