Coronavirus can’t halt holiday recital at this N.J. facility

The coronavirus pandemic has taught all of us to regroup, reorganize and re-plan daily activities and special events, and one special group of musicians did just that during this holiday season of social distancing.
Piano teacher Susan Hedden, who also teaches at the Octupus Music School in North Brunswick, has taught about 20 students ranging from second grade to senior in high school in the Hunterdon County (mostly from Readington Township) area for the past 18 years. And every year, her students put on a live, holiday recital for the residents at Independence Manor, an assisted living facility in Flemington.
