Hawks De’Andre Hunter out for season with torn right meniscus
Hunter will have surgery on his right knee to repair the injury.

Prior to Game 1 against Philadelphia, forward De’Andre Hunter began experiencing some mild swelling in his right knee. Head Team Physician Dr. Kenneth Mautner and Head Orthopaedist Dr. Kyle Hammond examined Hunter and suggested an MRI. The initial review revealed a new small tear of the lateral meniscus. Films from the MRI were sent to Dr. Neal ElAttrache of Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles for a second opinion, who earlier today confirmed the tear and recommended surgery.

A Byron Lawrence penalty couldn t prevent a Town U17 side from losing 3-1 at home to Colchester in a friendly on Saturday morning.
The Essex side took a fourth minute lead when Macauley Bonne laid the ball into the path of Jack Curtis, who lifted the ball over Michael Crowe and into the net.
Colchester s front pairing linked up three minutes later to double their lead, Bonne flicked on a long ball and Curtis calmly side-footed past the advancing Crowe.
The U s scored a third after 13 minutes when a lucky break allowed captain Sam Szmodics to round Crowe and tuck the ball into an empty net from a tight angle.
McGoldrick Players Player of the Year

Striker David McGoldrick was named the Town Players’ Player of the Year at this evening’s End of Season dinner at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall. The 26-year-old netted 16 goals before his season was cut short by a knee injury in February.
Jonny Williams’s strike during the recent 2-1 victory over Derby at Portman Road was named the Town Goal of the Season, while Christophe Berra added the Boxholders and Sponsors’ Player of the Year gong to his recent Supporters’ Player of the Year award.
Daryl Murphy won the John Kerridge Memorial Trophy for the most improved player, manager Mick McCarthy having been the man deciding the destination of that award.
