Ghaziabad: Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan in Shakti Khand-4 has been converted into a Covid care centre for patients with mild symptoms, in a big relief for the residents of Indirapuram struggling to find hospital beds amid a ferocious second wave of coronavirus. The centre will also attend to the medicine needs of the local people, GMC officials said on Wednesday.
The centre has 150 beds and is equipped with vital oxygen supply. A doctor and six paramedics have also been deputed at the centre, which is being run by GMC with support from Jai Bharat, an NGO. Meanwhile, RSS’s Sewa Bharati has started a similar facility with 50 oxygen beds in a separate section of the Bhawan. Nine patients are currently being treated at the two facilities, including four at the Sewa Bharati facility.
Yogi Adityanath
GHAZIABAD: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Kailash Mansarovar Bhavan in Indirapuram on Saturday evening and laid the foundation for 29 other projects that would be built for Rs 750 crore across the city.
The chief minister said the bhavan would serve as a transit spot for religious tourism in the country and also create employment opportunities for the youth. “Religious tourism has immense potential to open up avenues for employment. Kailash Mansarovar Bhavan should be developed into such a spot. Apart from catering to the religious beliefs of the people, it should also serve as avenue for employment,” he added.
